Geocache Description:

The Series

Number 1125 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100' apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

The Geocache

A decorated 30ml specimen tube in a camo bag.

The Fine Pair

When the telephone was removed from the box the local community took over its possession. It has been reborn as a Book Swap facility. Feel free to bring a novel or non-fiction text on your visit and make an exchange. You will need to enter the Book Swap to find the information for the puzzle.

Access

Parking is adjacent to the Fine Pair with the final location just a short walk away.

The Settlement

The village of Little Dewchurch is on the Hoarwithy Road from Hereford to Ross via Hoarwithy, signposted from the mini-roundabout on the Holme Lacy Road in Putson, approximately 6 miles south of Hereford centre. The church is sign-posted from the Village Green. The history of the village suggests that in medieval times the village was located adjacent to the church and the old road from Hereford to Ross and Monmouth. This road followed the route of the present footpath running north/south across Sunnybank.

The Puzzle

A simple one-step multi that will lead you on a short walk to the final geocache.

For the information, look inside the Book Swap. There are two contacts, Jan and Meg. Using this information, you can then solve this simple puzzle:

Final can be found at:  N51 5A.BCB   W002 4B.ADC

Where A= the number of letters in Jan’s surname.

Where B = the most common number found in Jan’s entire phone number (including the area code)

Where C = the fourth digit of Meg’s phone number (excluding the area code)

Where D = the fourth digit of Jan’s phone number (excluding the area code)
