This is an amazing viewpoint at 8,172 foot elevation! There is plenty of geocaching from the power trails and normal geocaches along the way up. During the summer, the roads are maintained to the top. This is West Prospect Lookout. The forest ranger knows about geocaching and is very friendly. Please be courteous of the stop sign and follow directions given on that sign. The geocache is not at the lookout buildings. As you approach the lookout the road will Y. The Y to the left will take you to a turnaround area and the Y to right goes up to the building. Take the left Y and park. The cache is hidden just over the slope. Use care and enjoy the views! As you near the top of the lookout, drive slowly because the road is narrow and other cars may need to share the road.
