This cache has been placed at the top of the George Disney memorial trail. It is past the old previous cache that has been recently archived. This trail is named after George Disney, who was a Civil War soldier from Kentucky who was shot by a sniper while camping on top of Rocky Face ridge. He was buried where he lay and you will pass his grave on the way to the cache. The boy scouts discovered the grave and cleaned up the area, upgraded the tombstone and stacked rocks on the gravesite. To arrive at the cache you will pass multiple Ridgetop views and the grave site. The cache is past the Outdoor Classroom area at the top of the ridge. It is a 1 mile hike to the top and it is rather strenuous. Unless you are a superior athlete, allow at least one hour to obtain the cache and return to the parking area. The parking area is at a local church. The church officials are happy to allow you to park there. Please note that there are many loose rocks along to hike and that the trail goes up the side of the ridge so it is rather steep. I can personally guarantee that you will not see any snakes, (*results May Vary). Please remove trash as you hike, be respectful to other hikers, and enjoy your time in the woods. Also, feel free to post any pictures of the Geocache, the area or post hints. I would hate to see a DNF after somebody hiked all the way to the top. Hopefully everyone that does the hike will easily find the cache. ***Updated 2/24/22*** This cache has been moved to the high point of the ridge to reduce accidental finding and to take advantage of the scenic view.
