We're doing it again! The first Sonora Area Historical Geo-Event was a big hit and drew Cachers from far and wide. In conjunction with the Tuolumne County Historical Society and Museum there will be a Geo-Event on Saturday September 22, 2018 in Sonora. Meet us for coffee, local Caching information and fellowship. There will be a special non-published Cache hunt aimed at families with children and designed to be a walkable tour of the Downton Sonora area. This will be a passport style search with stamps at the stations.
After the event you're invited to join us in finding 20 new Geocaches the Historical Society has placed in areas of historical significance. Those who are able to find and log these Caches will be offered a special Geocoin minted for these events. Be sure to check in and register for eligibilty to earn this Geocoin. In keeping with the historical theme, these Geocoins are replicas of a silver coin that was produced by Tuolumne County in the 1980s to help raise money for new roads
