Geocache Description:

Event times: 10:00 to 11:00
Wednesday 25 July 2018

The fifth in an occasional series of morning get-togethers, which all aim to be within a few miles of the River Erewash, the border between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. All geocachers are welcome, for an hour of chat, the sharing of ideas, the exchange of trackables, and anything to do with our hobby. And please feel free to bring non-caching friends along too.

Meetup #4 was as far north as possible, just yards away from the source of the Erewash. So, it is only fair that we go to the opposite extreme with this event, which is around half a mile from the end of the Erewash at its confluence with the River Trent.

The venue is the cafe at the Attenborough Nature Reserve Visitor Centre. There is ample parking (Pay and Display). Dogs are not welcome in the visitor centre itself, but if the weather is good there is loads of seating just outside. The cafe does some breakfast items, along with drinks, etc., but no purchase is necessary. There are no caches in the nature reserve itself, but there are several within walking distance, and the wetlands of Attenborough are worth a visit anyway.
