Geocache Description:

This cache is placed for publication prior to Celebrate Sanford Trails Event IV, July 22, 2018.  It introduces a "new" trail for ATV riders, hikers and equestrians.  The new (2018) Sanford ATV Club has been getting permissions and developing a new route to other trails in Lebanon and to the power lines.  This means more trails for caches!!  For now, this trail is mostly one ATV wide, so please be listening for oncoming ATVs.  The trail is pretty rugged after the turn off the rail trail, so speed should not be a huge factor.

A waypoint marks the trail turn off and you can expect to have to wade through a couple places where water crosses the trail before you head up a curving hill.  The cache is a decent sized canister which once held one of the geohorse's supplements.  It's traditionally hidden a little over 100 feet off the trail and is stocked with trading items.  The actual hide is not particularly difficult, but due to the distance from parking (about two miles) and having to wade through a couple water spots on the side trail (I've never known these to be dry), I've given the rating a 4 terrain/1.5 difficulty.  Hopefully this will help anyone working on the challenge to find all the terraiin/difficulty combinations.  There are lots of other caches on the rail trail to find while you are hiking out to this one!
