W okolicach Mielca znajdziesz urocze miejsce, a na dodatek, jeśli się troszeczkę potrudzisz, to dotrzesz na najwyższe wzniesienie w powiecie mieleckim.
Wzgórze zwane Carpatia wznosi się na wysokość 232 m n.p.m. Może powiesz, że to niewiele, ale w koło jak pięknie… I chociaż widoki zasłonięte drzewostanem, to u podnóża tajemnicze stawy, a nieco dalej niezwykły bukowy las – rezerwat im. Profesora Szafera.
Nazwę wzgórzu nadali członkowie Mieleckiego Klubu Górskiego szczycący się tym samym imieniem, co ono.
Na szczycie umieścili słupek z opisem i skrzynkę na zeszyt do wpisów - tych osobistych i tych w innym systemie cachingu. Dzisiaj zeszyt porwały niszczące ręce złodziejskiej zarazy, a ja im na złość i by upamiętnić założycieli umieszczam tu skrytkę, której tak łatwo nie znajdą, bo pewnie słowem pisanym się brzydzą.
Na wzgórzu, z czasem powstała nowa tradycja. Na Nowy Rok, ale też i w innych terminach, Mielczanie znoszą na Górę Carpatię kamienie. Jedni wielkie, inni ładne, a jeszcze inni pamiątkowe
z różnych miejsc. Powstał mały kopczyk i nieśmiało piętrzy się ku niebu. Ja przyniosłem kawałeczek
ze Śnieżnika. Proszę przybywajcie ze swoim kamieniem, głazem i tym wszystkim, co wam ciąży.
Odpocznijcie na tej leśnej wydmie i szukajcie „śnieżnika”, który świeci.
CARPATIA
In the area of Mielec, you will find a charming place, and in addition, if you will search a bit, you will reach the highest hill in the Mielec district.
The hill called Carpatia rises to a height of 232 m above sea level. Maybe you will say, that it is not much, but surroundings are so beautiful ... And although the views are covered by a tree stand, at the bottom you can find wonderful and mysterious ponds, and a bit further unusual beech forest –. Professor Szafer, nature reserve.
The name of the hill was given by the members of the Mielec Mountain Club, it is same as their Club name.
At the top, they placed a post with a description and a box for notebooks for personal entries, and those in another caching system. Today, the notebook has been kidnapped, by the “hands of the thieving plague”, I am angry because of that fact, but to commemorate the founders, I place here a hiding place, which the thieves will not find so easily, because they are probably disgusted with the written word.
On the hill, a new tradition emerged over time. For the New Year, but also on other dates, the people from Mielec, brings to the Carpatia Mountain their stones. Some are large, others are pretty, and others are commemorative, from different places.
A small mound arose, and timidly pushed towards to the sky. I brought a small piece of stone from Śnieżnik.
