Von hier aus kann man das ganze Tal überblicken. Ortskundige erkennen Luttach und Weißenbach im Südwesten und den höchsten Dreitausender des Ahrntales, den Dreiherrnspitz (3.499m), im Nordosten. Ein Teil des Gipfelkreuzes besteht aus einem alten Wegkreuz, wahrscheinlich aus St. Johann, und es wurde im Jahr 2006 restauriert. Eine Woche vor der Herzjesu Feier haben drei motivierte junge Männern aus dem Tal für uns Besucher das schwere Kreuz bis auf den Gipfel getragen. Ein Jahr später wurde es von Pfarrer Josef Profanter feierlich geweiht. Der Punkt an dem es steht, bietet die beste Aussicht und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Auch wenn du wegen dem Cache hier bist, vergiss deinen Eintrag ins Gipfelbuch nicht!
Di questo punto panoramico puoi ammirare tutta la Valle Aurina. Si vede Lutago e Rio Bianco nell’ sudovest e nel nordest c’è la cima più alta della valle: il Picco dei Tre Signori (3.499m). Una parte della croce di vetta consiste di una vecchia croce posta ai margini della strada, probabilmente da San Giovanni, e in 2006 è stata ristaurata. Tre settimane prima di Sacro Cuore tre uomini motivati la hanno portato su sulle loro spalle ed è stato sacrato un anno dopo da Signor Josef Profanter. Lì, dove si trova, è il punto con la vista perfetta e bisogna investire un pò di tempo per vedere la bellezza della nostra valle. E anche se sei qui per la cache…non dimenticare a segnarti nel libro di vetta!
From this peak you get the perfect view over the valley. Towards southwest there are Luttach and Weißenbach and in the northwest you can admire the tallest mountain of the Ahrntal: the Dreiherrnspitz (3,499m). The summit cross partly consists of an old wayside cross, presumably from St. Johann, and it has been restored in 2006. Two weeks before the Sacred Heart Celebrations three highly motivated men carried the cross up there on their shoulders and about one year after it was officially consecrated by Father Josef Profanter. The place for it was chosen because of the view and feel free to take a rest and enjoy the beauty of the place. And you might be here because of a cache, but don’t forget to sign the summit register.
