COFFEE
(What can you do with it)
CAFÉ AU LAIT
Time to make: 5 mins What you need: French Roast Coffee Beans, Chicory, Milk
Café au lait – half brewed coffee, half warm milk, 100% French.
The beverage’s name literally translates to “coffee with milk,” very apt as one of its essential components is the thinning of the strong coffee with warm creamy milk.
Having French roots is always nice to enjoy the coffee, but fortunately not necessary. The details below give a simple but tasty recipe for café au lait. What you need are:
- ¾ cup ground French roast coffee beans
- ¼ cup ground chicory
Instructions:
- Step 1.
Mix the ground coffee and chicory in a medium sized bowl.
- Step 2.
Store the mixture in a sealed container.
- Step 3.
Add a tbsp. of coffee-chicory mix to a cup of water and brew.
- Step 4.
Heat a half cup of milk.
- Step 5.
Pour heated milk into a mug and add the brewed coffee and chicory.
That's all folks.
You are looking for a medium sized container hidden at ground level. be careful how you open it. It is carefully laid below the hawthorn bush. Please be aware of sharp spikes at the GZ (wear protective gloves, glasses etc). It is best to approach from the road side.
Please do not block any field entrances and respect any crops/wildlife close by.
Parking is available next to the cache adjacent to the gap in the hedge for the footpath.
Please look out for more of my caches with coffee as the theme. Thanks for attempting.
