Rocky Mountain High Traditional Cache

This pile of rocks was left over from the patch work from when the River Road was washed out in 1997. Pieces of the road had been rebuilt earlier due to previous floods. The road used to follow the dyke, along the river but a new dyke would not support a road so they shifted the road and straightened out the most winding section. It was not a fast project. Lots of people fish off of these banks and if you aren't rushing to Everett or to Snohomish, the valley and river scenery is relaxing and enjoyable.
