You had so much fun out caching and exploring in the cemetery, that you somehow got locked in! Will you make it through the night with all the ghosts and ghouls about? To play this "experience" you must have the Metaverse App installed on your cell phone. Download links are at the bottom. The D reflects the need for this technology, and the learning curve.
This cache is located within the cemetery. It is not available when the cemetery is closed. No night caching. Please be respectful - there will be people around who's business is much more important than yours.

If you click the link from the geocaching app, the experience will open the Metaverse within the geocaching app. You will need to input coordinates into something like Google Maps. If you click the link from the website it should open in the Metaverse app. If you have access to a second device you may scan the QR code and it will open the Metaverse app. (I have noticed that there seems to be an issue where sometimes if you click the link, it says "Experience Not Found". The QR also occasionally doesn't scan correctly. If you can't get either to work, go to the Metaverse app and search for "Ghosts in the Graveyard". This game is accessible, just stubborn.)
The posted coordinates are where you will start your creepy adventure. At the location, click on the link or scan the QR. It wwill take you to the Metaverse page. Either click "Ghosts in the Graveyard Part 1" or click the binoculars in the corner. This experience is made of different stages. Upon completion of each one it will take you back to the main screen. From there you go to the next location, and you will be able to click on the next part. Each stage of this experience is location-locked, meaning that it will not open if you are not within range of its location. Clicking the binoculars will take you to a map of each stage of the location. When you get in range, click the character. This map will show you the various stages, but it will not show you which stage is next. Use the coordintes given in the experience. If you choose not to use the map, just click on the next part when you get to the location. I would recommend driving between points because this is a long cemetery, and there will be a little bit of backtracking. You can hit most (but not all) of the parts without leaving your vehicle.
NOTE: You will want to have a notebook to keep track of coordinates and answers. When you answer a question correctly it will allow the story to move forward and you will unlock the ability to get the next set of coordinates and the information you need to complete the experience. You may want to write coordinates down in order to more easily enter them into the geocaching app. You may want to write down your answers in case there is an issue where the app does not work correctly. You can toggle between the Metaverse app and the Geocaching app using your phone (if you did not open it inside the geocaching app). If there is an issue with your game, back out of the current part, and try re-entering it from the map/choice screen. You should not have to redo the whole thing.

At the time it was submitted for publication, it has been successfully played through on 2 different Android devices. The iPhone hasn't been tested out.

On June 6, 2018 Geocaching HQ announced a new Augmented Reality (AR) geocaching experience. You will need to use an android/iOS phone, tablet or other compatible mobile device to experience it. This Augmented Reality experience can be played using the Metaverse app which you can find here:
