Poinsettia Multi:
This multicache starts at the back entrance to Poinsettia Park and takes you through a short stroll (less than a half mile) through the park. Park your car at the suggested parking waypoint, or use one of the lots within the park. Be sure to be prepared to take notes!
- Start at the posted coordinates (or the Sign 1 waypoint), and find a sign welcoming you to the park. The sign references “Carlsbad Municipal Code Sections AB.CD and AA.EF et seq.” Make a note of these numbers for later.
- Proceed to the Sign 2 waypoint (N 33 B6.DC7 W 117 AD.CB9). Here, you will see an outfield sign denoting the distance from home plate. G is the 2nd digit.
- Proceed to the Sign 3 waypoint (N 33 B6.9EA W 117 AD.4FG). Here, you will see a sign of rules for a certain sports venue. One of the rules is NO SKATEBOARDING – H is the 6th digit of the C.M.C. Sec number. Also, find the Parks & Recreation Department Phone Number. I is the 4th digit and J is the 9th digit.
- The cache is located at N 33 BI.JDB W 117 AD.HGC. It’s a camouflaged lock-n-lock, well-hidden to protect it from muggles. Look in photos if you want to see what you're looking for.
