Geocache Description:

The first time I published a cache with this theme (GC5YQD2) it lasted three months before the hiding location was fenced off to become private property. Then I revisited the theme (GC7FADH) and it lasted over two years before the tree hiding the cache was cut down. I will make this cache much easier and try for the third time.

This would be a good introductory cache for anyone that is afraid of puzzle caches since you will be told what it is based upon.

Moh's scale of mineral hardness is named after Friedrich Mohs, a mineralogist who invented a scale of hardness based upon the ability of one mineral being able to scratch another (in order for any mineral/or substance to scratch another, it must be harder). Many substances other than minerals are sometimes given their hardness relative to the Mohs scale but some forms of the substance can vary slightly in their hardness.
