When wondering what to call this years caches we agreed that The 4 Cache-keteers would hide fish on the West side of the dams and I would hide animals on the East side. Then I found this available spot on the East side and this seemed like an appropriate name. It's actually a variety of carp that can be found in the Sydenham river downstream from this location and is one of the endangered species in this area. Probably not those carp but the more common variety can be seen in the spring from this spot playing around in the outflow from the overflow that controls the water level in the lake. A popular spot for the Great Blue Herons to hang out and we've surprised the Bald Eagle here too obviously attracted by the fishing prospects.
This can be a busy area so hide the cache well when you replace it.
