Dieser Bereich des Donaukanals entlang der Weißgerberlände ist ein beliebter Ort für die Anwohner der Gegend. Läufer, Radfahrer und Fussgänger sind hier ständig unterwegs. Die Nähe zum Hundertwasserhaus und Kunsthaus Wien lockt auch so manche Touristen an diesen Ort. Aber auch die Natur breitet sich an den Ufern der künstlichen Wasserader unweigerlich aus.
Abends kann man stillen Schrittes so manch unterschiedliches Tier erspähen.
An einer speziellen Stelle gibt es eine Art Sandbank am Ufer. Je nach Wetterlage kann die Bank durchaus überflutet sein, da sie aber nur zu einer Seite geöffnet ist steht das Wasser hier immer still.
Hat es länger nicht geregnet liegt die etwa 3 Meter breite Sandbank im „Trockenen“. Vom Ufer aus kann sie problemlos betreten werden. Zur Wasserseite ist sie von einem Steinwall (auf welchem Büsche wachsen) begrenzt.
Respekt und Demut vor der Natur sind auch hier höchste Vorraussetzungen.
Des weiteren möchte ich erwähnen das jeder Cacher für sein Handeln selbst verantwortlich ist und in der Lage sein muss, potentielle Gefahren selbst zu erkennen und sich entsprechen darauf einzustellen!

This area of the Danube Canal along the Weißgerberlände is a popular place for the residents of the area. Runners, cyclists and pedestrians are constantly on the move here. The proximity to the Hundertwasserhaus and the Kunsthaus Wien also attracts many tourists to this place.
But also nature spreads along the banks of the artificial waterway.
At a special place there is a kind of sandbank on the shore. Depending on the weather, the bank may will be flooded, but since it is only open to one side, the water is always still here.
Has it not rained for a few days the sandbank is ”try”. From the shore, it can easily be entered. To the water side it is limited by a stone wall (on which bushes grow).
Please respect and always take care of nature.
Furthermore, I would like to mention that every cacher is responsible for his own actions and must be able to recognize potential dangers and adjust accordingly
