Geocache Description:

The 5k

5k = 3.1 miles. This 5k is along the sidewalks and Wellness Trail at the MidMichigan Medical Center. You can walk, run or bike the route. The route is entirely on sidewalks and the Wellness Trail. You will be crossing roads and driveways, but there is no need to ride along the roads. The 5k will end near the starting point.

The Wherigo

There are many zones along the trail. All you need to do is pass through the zones. There are no questions to answer, no other tasks to complete, nothing to remember. The cartridge will autosave at every zone. You will be timed and you will receive your results at the end of the 5k but there are no speed requirements. You can take as long as you want. Once you have completed the 5k, you will receive the coordinates for the cache. You must sign the logbook in the cache to log a find.

MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland

MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland is a 328-bed, non-profit hospital in Midland, Michigan. It is a member of MidMichigan Health, an integrated health delivery system. In 2013 it partnered with the University of Michigan Health System. The medical center also serves as a clinical site for medical students from Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine, Central Michigan University, and MidMichigan Community College nursing students. A family medicine residency program is affiliated with Michigan State University.[

MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland was designed by architect Alden B. Dow and constructed amid wartime restrictions in 1943-44. Over the years, MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland became co-owned with hospitals in Clare, Gladwin and Alma; as a result, the Medical Center in Midland became the flagship hospital of MidMichigan Health, which has been headquartered in Midland ever since.
