Male Yellow-headed Blackbird.jpgThe yellow-headed blackbird (Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus) is a medium-sized blackbird, and the only member of the genus Xanthocephalus  These birds migrate in the winter to the southwestern United States and Mexico. They often migrate in huge flocks with other species of birds  These birds forage in the marsh, in fields or on the ground; they sometimes catch insects in flight. They mainly eat seeds and insects. Outside the nesting period, they often feed in flocks, often with related species.

Fish Lake Wildlife Area is a 14,000-acre property located in southern Burnett County   Geocache Notification Form has been sent to Steve Hoffman=DNR Land Manager-Grantsburg  The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
