FSC-2018 - The Perfect Pour Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

jcfdelaware: This wonderful cache has run it's course. It was overrun with wasps, paint was chipping, and the answers don't seem to always show up. Sometime a cache just needs to retire. I am so happy so many people liked it so much.

FSC-2018 - The Perfect Pour

Cache Details:

NO Night Caching

Special Tool required is WATER.

The cache is at the listed coords but you must solve a Field Puzzle to access the logbook.

How many ounces are in this perfect pour…?
Your answers will provide the 3 digit code used to unlock the padlock and retrieve the logbook.

Everything needed to complete the task is provided except you MUST BRING at least 12 oz of water.
But…it is highly recommended to bring additional amounts. You may also like to have an extra hand.

This cache has three individual vessels and each has its own oval sight window. The three digit code is learned by discovering how many ounces is required to float a ball in each of the windows to a level that the entire ball is visible in the window. Using those three digits in the proper sequence will unlock the side door and expose the logbook.

When you’re done please be sure to reset the cache back to its original condition.

Your caching name must be in the logbook to get credit for finding the cache.

Explicit permission for this cache was given by business owner Ron Price.

Description:
Steps to a Perfect Pint

- Use a clean glass. A dirty glass, containing oils, dirt or residuals from a previous beer, may inhibit head creation and flavors.

- Hold your glass at a 45 degree angle. Pour the beer targeting the middle of the slope of the glass. Don’t be afraid to pour hard or add some air between the bottle and glass.

- At the half-way point bring the glass at a 90 degree angle and continue to pour in the middle of the glass. This will induce the perfect foam head. And remember, having a head on a beer is a good thing. It releases the beers aromatics and adds to the overall presentation. You may also want to add distance between the bottle and the glass as you pour, to also inspire a good head. An ideal head should be 1” to 1-1/2”.
