I seen a moose here, once.
I growed up here, well, not here pacifically, but pretty near here within a twenty minute drive. The wife too. And I'll tell you, we ain't never heard of no moose being around here before. Deer for sure, and rabbits. I heard tell of a bear once, but I think Uncle Smokey was drinking when he saw her, so she might have been a really big raccoon or maybe a porkypine, not too likely, more probably a cow because at the time old Bill up the road had a fence down and his cows tended to wander.
So anyways, I come down here early one morning for the fishing and over there I seen a moose, a big one it was too. I had to give my head a shaking to make sure I hadn't woke up in Algonquin Park or some other such place, but there he was over there hanging around a big red Jeep.
So I hid a geocache here and marked the spot with my GPS thing that I use to keep track of where my duck blinds are and where I caught fish, I marked it so's I'd remember where I seen the moose. You's can look for the geocache if you like, and you's can look for the moose too, but good luck with that because most folks around here ain't never seen no moose around here, not even Uncle Smokey.
