Adelaide Church Micro #3 - St Clement's Enfield Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Michells&hound: Archiving. I am 99% sure the cache is still there, however I can’t check it. The health score thing amazes me, here in Tassie so many caches with countless dnf not found in excess of 2 years and nothing happens? Yet this cache has 3 dnf from one day (cachers together on Mega day) and the assumption by an algorithm is made it’s missing. Shakes head.

Geocache Description:

This collection of caches is based on the Church Micro series in the UK, which has over 12,000 caches. Given that Adelaide is affectionately known as the City of Churches it seems appropriate to have a small series hidden at historical churches.

The Foundation Stone for St Clement’s was laid in July 1858 but the Church was not opened for worship until 1867. The Church was known as "The Little Church on the Hill", it was a landmark for ships coming into port.  For many years the City Emblem of Enfield depicted St. Clement’s Church in the top right hand corner. The Church is warm and welcoming with beautiful stained glass windows each telling their own story. Almost all the furniture and fittings are in memory of past parishioners.* St Clement's Church History by Margaret Parfitt
