Blairmore Hospital Ghost
People don’t often talk about it, but the old Blairmore Hospital was home to the spirit of a matron seen by staff, patients and visitors. She disappeared after the hospital was torn down.
The ghost could be heard walking around, closing and opening doors. She has also been seen in the top floor (surgical floor) windows. Many times surgical instruments were moved as well as other items and they were always blamed on the ghost.
Staff were known to go up to surgical to autoclave instruments and when they walked in the doors would say "hi" to the ghost. A slight breeze going past them was enough for them to know she was saying "hi" right back to them.
