This should be a relatively easy cache located a few metres off a footpath that is known locally as the "Old Coach Road". You can access the path via the steps that lead to Catrine Parish Church.
The cache is located at the remains of what I believe to be a Scout hall. The 1959 OS map of the area shows the building marked as 'Hall'.
The cache container is a small lock & lock type plastic box. Original contents included some small swaps, badges (one specifically for the FTF), logbook and a travel bug.
After locating the cache you can continue your explorations of the village by visiting the Catrine Voes an interesting water system that provided power for the mills and is now a nature reserve. It is also worth a trek up to the war memorial to enjoy a panorama of the whole village.
Thanks to Catrine Community Trust for permitting the cache to be placed.
