The town of Elba, Idaho is steeped in history, where almost every structure has a story to tell. The Elba Community Center is certainly no exception.
The Latter Day Saints settled in the Elba Valley in the 1870’s, and a relief society organization was formed in 1887 for the women in Elba. A relief hall was constructed in 1901 after the relief society received a land donation from John Darrington in 1895 and funds were raised. A plaque is mounted on the building that says "Elba Relief Society 1901," and the building is now used as a community center.
Enjoy the Elba Relief Society/community center while you're finding this geocache. You'll need your own pen or pencil to sign the log, so have fun and check out the rest of Elba!
