This cache will lead you through an exciting adventure in the South American jungle!
You will track the amazing quest of the conquistador Gonzalo de Quesada for finding the legendary city of the Muisca - El Dorado.
According to the legend, there is a golden city hidden deep into the jungle. Its name, El Dorado - “the golden man”, comes from the ritual for introducing a new Muisca tribal chief. They used to cover his body with natural resin and sprinkle golden dust on top of it. The Muisca prepared a cane raft loaded with figurines and precious stones. The future chief would get on the raft, together with four other notable tribe members and sail to the middle of the lake. There, the new leader would offer his prayers to the Gods and throw the precious gifts into the water. Meanwhile, the Muisca would light torches by the shore while singing, dancing and performing rituals there. After the gifts have been offered to the Gods, the future tribal chief and his companions would swim back to the shore. The successful return would be considered as a proof of Gods’ blessings and mercy.
The time has come, for the search of the famous golden city to begin!
Please, consider that this expedition will not be an easy one and that going through the jungle full of terrors is a real challenge. Adequate equipment is a must, and please do not make attempts during stormy or windy weather – falling trees or branches could appear. Obligatory use of repellent! Тhere are many ticks and mosquitoes!
The starting point is the port city of Santa Martha, with coordinates N42 40.408 and E023 18.559. You should walk up along the stream of Rio Grande de Aladalena while carefully examining the tree trunks for golden coins at about 2,5 meters height. Follow these markers through the jungles and you will find the first totem – the Totem of the Snake. The first number of the coordinates to the lost city is hidden under this totem. Mark this number as A.
Continue following the golden coins and you will reach Tenerife – the City of the Parrots, where the second totem awaits you, and beneath – the second number. Mark it as B.
A long journey through the jungle will lead you to the Alpuerto and the Symbol of the Mighty Crocodile. Right under it you will find the third number, which you should mark as C. Take a rest and load some refreshments from the urban setting nearby. The more exhausted you become, the harder the journey is getting.
Going forward is getting even tougher but don’t give up – following the path of the golden coins you will reach Trinidad – the Land of the Frightful Piranhas. Mark the number lying under the totem as D.
Now you are crossing the area of Val de Neyva, also known as the Valley of the Butterflies. You will find the fifth number under the corresponding totem. Mark it as E.
Don’t surrender! You have one last journey along Lake Tota. It will take you a lot of efforts to reach the Land of the Wise Turtle. Find the last number and mark it as F.
Substitute the letters for numbers into the following coordinates:

The final coordinates will show you the way to Guatavita - the place, where El Dorado, “the golden city”, lays hidden from people’s sight. Beware of muggles! Discover the beginning of a tiny secret path, which leads to the final point. Lift slightly and carefully and you will uncover the costly treasure!

Очаква ви едно вълнуващо приключение в южноамериканската джунгла!
Ще се впуснете по стъпките на конкистадора Гонсало де Кесада в търсене на легендарния град на муиските Ел Дорадо.
Според легендите дълбоко в джунглата се крие златен град. Името му Ел Дорадо – буквално „златния човек“ идва от легендата за ритуала по встъпване в длъжност на всеки нов върховен вожд на муиските. Тялото на вожда било намазвано с растителни смоли и впоследствие посипвано със златен прах. Бъдещия вожд заедно с четирима високопоставени придружители се качва на тръстиков сал, натоварен със златни фигурки и скъпоценни камъни. Когато стигне средата на езерото, предводителя отправя молитви към боговете и хвърля във водите скъпоценните дарове. През това време муиските се събират на брега, свирят, танцуват и издават ритуални викове със запалени факли в ръце. След като са принесени всички дарове, бъдещият вожд и спътниците му се връщат на брега с плуване. Успешното завръщане означавало, че милостта на боговете е спечелена.
И така, време е да започнете търсенето на прочутия златен град!
Трябва да имате предвид, че експедицията няма да е лесна, придвижването из джунглата е предизвикателство и опасности дебнат отвсякъде. Бъдете подходящо екипирани и не тръгвайте по време на бури и сили ветрове – има опасност от падащи дървета и клони!

Изходна точка е пристанищния град Santa Martha, с координати N42 40.408 и E023 18.559.
Тръгнете нагоре по течението на Rio Grande de Aladalena, като се вглеждате внимателно в стъблата на дърветата. На височина около 2,5м ще откриете златни пендари. Следвайте тези маркери през джунглата и те ще ви одведат до първия тотем – този на змията. Под него ще намерите първата цифра от координата, който ще ви покаже мястото на изгубения град. Запишете цифрата като А.
Продължете да следвате златните пендари и ще се озовете в Тенерифе – града на папагалите, където ви очаква втория тотем и под него – втората цифра. Запишете я като B.
Дълъг преход през джунглата ще ви отведе до Alpuerto и символа на могъщия крокодил. Точно под него се намира третата цифра, която ще запишете като C. Починете и заредете с провизии от близкото населено място. Умората ще се трупа, а пътя няма да става по-лесен.
Напредвате все по-трудно, но не губете кураж – следвайки пендарите ще стигнете до Trinidad – земята на страховитите пирани. Запишете цифрата под тотема като D.
Навлизате в областта Val de Neyva, известна и като долината на пеперудите. Под съответния символ ще откриете петата цифра, която трябва да запишете като E.
Не се отчайвайте – остава ви последния преход покрай Lake Tota. С цената на много усилия ще си пробиете път до земите на мъдрата костенурка. Намерете последната, шеста цифра и я запишете като F.

Финалните координати ще ви отведат до Guatavita – мястото, където скрит от хорски погледи се е притаил Ел Дорадо, „златния град“. Пазете се от мъгъли!
