Le cascine del Rio Rosto
Sul versante destro della valle del Rio Rosto si trovano molte antiche cascine.
Abitate sin dal XVIII secolo da dozzine di famiglie, che vivano di allevamento di bestiame, taglio della legna, raccolta di castagne e coltivazione di grano e patate, queste cascine sono state abbandonate nel corso degli anni '60 del secolo scorso, andando progressivamente in rovina. Oggi sono ridotte a ruderi nascosti nei boschi, misere testimonianze della antica civiltà contadina delle montagne liguri.
Ca' Cherubina
Fra le meglio conservate, la Ca’ Cherubina (o Carrubina) mostra ancora oggi tracce degli arredi e dei solai al suo interno, oltre a quel che resta del tetto con la caratteristica copertura in scandole di legno.
Mantenetevi a distanza di sicurezza: sussiste il pericolo di crolli di parti della casa!!
Itinerario
Si può facilmente raggiungere Ca' Cherubina percorrendo il sentiero con triangolo giallo che, dal crocicchio nei pressi di Ca’ Batin (GC7QPCM), si diparte in direzione N [waypoint T0].

The farms of the Rio Rosto
On the right side of the Rio Rosto valley there are many old farmhouses.
Inhabited since the eighteenth century by dozens of families, who lived off cattle breeding, wood cutting, chestnut harvesting and cultivation of wheat and potatoes, these farms were abandoned during the 60s of the last century. Today they have become ruins hidden in the woods, poor evidence of the ancient rural culture of the Ligurian mountains.
Ca 'Cherubina
Among the best preserved, the Ca 'Cherubina (or Carrubina) still shows traces of the floors and furnishings inside, as well as part of the roof with the characteristic wooden shingle roofing.
Keep a safe distance: there is a danger of collapse of parts of the house !!

You can easily reach Ca 'Cherubina along the path marked by a yellow triangle which branches off towards N from the crossroads near Ca' Batin (GC7QPCM), [waypoint T0].
