Geocache Description:

This spot marks the conjunction of the parishes of Ambleston, Little Newcastle and St Dogwells. It is also at the meeting point of the three ancient Hundreds or Cantrefs of Cemaes, Daugleddau and Dewisland.

The marker stone at gz was unveiled by the Bishop of St Davids, Joanna Penberthy, in November 2017, a project initiated by the local Saints and Stones group.  These marker stones denoted the boundaries between the lines of the mediaeval bishops and point to which the relics of Saint David accompanied the bishops when summoned to fight for the king as feudal lords. The new stone was made by St Davids- based sculptor Malcolm Gray. The old stone which originally marked this spot has been transferred to the lapidarium at St Davids cathedral.

The cache is a small clip-lock box with room for swaps. It can be found as a “cache and dash”. Hope you enjoy looking for it!
