Short multi at a spot with nice views, not meant to be too difficult, and final is not far away. Thanks to previous, nearby COs for getting me to explore this place and find another place to share with a hide.
Thanks also to PG&E, for maintaining some of these utility trails so that we can hike around up here.
At STAGE ONE, the easternmost pole, you will see a fraction. Convert it to decimal form. Add up the first 6 digits to the right of the decimal point. Take that answer and add it to STAGE ONE north coordinates to get N 37 32.8XX
Proceed to STAGE TWO, the westernmost pole, at N 37 32.817 W 122 26.975. Around 6 ft above the ground you will see a data placard welded to the pole. Stamped into that placard and arranged from top to bottom are an eight-digit JOB#, a four-digit YEAR, a two-digit height (HT), and a four-digit weight (WT) in LBS. Just take the height (HT) and add the number of poles to it. Then subtract that number from STAGE TWO west coords to get W 122 26.9XX.
Cache is at N 37 32.8XX W 122 26.9XX, and checksum is 64.
Container is a lock & lock. I’m calling it a small but there is plenty of room for trade items. If this hide stays in place, I’ll replace it with an ammo can some day. Enjoy Montara and the coastal chaparral!
Congrats to deadley for FTF!
