High on a mountain overlooking the Las Vegas Valley is Angel Peak. Adorning the top is an elaborate multi-functional antenna and radar array. Upon reaching this cache you will have a great view and a taste of the nature in these mountains. It may be accessible via Lucky Strike road however the road does pass through the Spring Mountain Youth Camp so access could be restricted. That being the case you may need to park further down and have a tangible hike ahead of you. A far more adventurous route would be via the Lucky Strike Mine Road or Wooden Power Line Road. These routes should ONLY be attempted with 4WD, preferably not stock. You should also NOT travel it alone. Bring a buddy in a separate 4WD vehicle, it is very rough and you may get stuck. This is a favorite trail among off road enthusiasts so you may come across some company. Please make sure the container is closed snugly, (but not ridiculously tight). There can be quite a bit of snow up here in the winter so it needs to be sealed well from the weather.
