La cava di pietra
Il percorso
Una gita alla cava di pietra è da sempre considerato una tappa obbligata per i villeggianti di Miroglio, frazione di Frabosa Sottana.
Si parte dalla strada asfaltata che dalla chiesa parrocchiale sale inerpicandosi dolcemente, curva dopo curva, fra le case e le fattorie.
Lasciato il centro abitato, la strada diviene sterrata, pur conservando la larghezza. E infatti non è raro incontrare qualche fuoristrada o trattore.
In meno di 40 minuti si raggiunge la cava.
La cava
Su una spianata è possibile scorgere ciò che rimane dall'attività di taglio della pietra.
A lato dello scavo, con una bellissima vista sulla valle, si incontrano i ruderi di due edifici: uno che probabilmente svolgeva il ruolo di rimessa e l'altro di locale tecnico con argano con cui i tagli venivano portati a valle.
Il cache
È nascosto all'interno di uno degli edifici. La zona è frequentatissima: assicuratevi che non ci siano babbani mentre cercate. Fate attenzione a non farvi crollare l'edificio sulla testa, mentre cercate.

The path
A trip to the stone quarry has always been considered a must for the holiday makers of Miroglio, a hamlet of Frabosa Sottana.
It starts from the asphalted road that climbsuphill gently, from the parish church curve after curve, between houses and farms.
Leaving the inhabited center, the asphalt becomes ground, though preserving its width. And indeed it is not uncommon to meet any off-road vehicle or tractor.
In less than 40 minutes you reach the quarry.
The quarry
On a esplanade it is possible to see what remains of the stone cutting activity.
On the side of the excavation, with a beautiful view of the valley, there are the ruins of two buildings: one that probably played the role of shed and the other of a technical room with a winch with which the cuts were taken downtown.
The cache
It is hidden inside one of the buildings. The area is very busy: make sure there are no Muggles while you are looking. Be careful not to let the building collapse on your head.
