Evans Notch. South entrance to the notch on ME 113. Evans Notch (elev. 1,410 ft or 430 m) is a mountain pass located in the White Mountains in Maine, United States, about 1 mile east of the New Hampshire border. It is the easternmost notch through the White Mountains and one of our favorite locations. Lots of great areas to hike, scenic views and very peaceful area. Hope you enjoy this narrow, twisty road that winds through both Maine and New Hampshire. (road is closed during the winter)
This cache is located at the Evans Notch overlook, you'll have beautiful views of the Notch. Someone has placed a nice tribute to a World War 1 veteran not far from the Evans Notch info sign. There is a safe pull off at GZ.
Your looking for low hanging bison.
