This is a fairly easy cache for some. We spend about 90% of our summer camping, fishing and hiking here at lake Red Rock. We love to geo cache and feel the need to place a few along the Volksweg Trail. I really encourage everyone to stop at the Visitors Center not only to get some great photos of the view but take the quiz out front of the animal prints and most defintily stop inside. So many come to lake Red Rock and don't realize how much the Corps of Engineers has to offers.
Just ask the wonderful volunteer inside at the Visitor Center for a list of activities or programs that is currently going on at the time you are there. Over the years we have attended programs and I can honestly say very worth while. Even a geo caching for kids And no they don't care if adults attend with no kids.
As you look for this large Cache take a total 360 of your surroundings. You will notice a Playscape sign. No matter what age 1-100 the playscape is amazing. Make sure ya stop and take notice of every detail. Even the veggie garden. The nature trail is only a 1/4 miles beautiful trail thru the woods and keep your eye to the ground. Ya never know what you will see and learn.
