The Dewsbury to Ossett Greenway was opened in 2013 and follows a former railway connection between the two towns. It provides a traffic free tarmac path which is well used by cyclists and walkers and is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. In common with many local dog owners we make good use of the Greenway for regular walks with our labradoodle, Millie. At various points along the Greenway you are likely to see different animals and that gave us the idea for these 4 caches.
These are our first caches and coordinates have been calculated using an iphone so we would welcome feedback. There are 4 caches located just off the path and they are designed to be fairly easy and therefore suitable for families with children. Wheelchair users may find access to the caches difficult because they are off the main path.
At the fourth cache you should find lots of sheep - if you visit in spring there are usually lots of cute baby lambs. There is a lovely view across the fields to Emley Moor Mast from here.
Please bring your own pen and tweezers
There is no need to enter any private property to find these caches!
