Located along the beautiful Volksweg Trail and parking close by this could be considered a park and grab, This has been a active cache thru the Army Corps of Engineers for years. If you go to the visitors center located on the south end of the damn at lake Red Rock you can checkout a geo caching kit that comes complete with a GPS that is pre set to all the geos in the Lake Red Rock area and other goodies. FREE. And the this is what got us into geo caching. All by visiting the visitors center and checking out the available things to do while camping. Yes they are child size backpacks and here we are 2 retired old people doing what we always thought was for kids.
Well here us old folks are caching every chance we can. Oh the many awesome places that this has taken us. Pioneer graveyards and oh the history we have learned. PRICELESS.
I encourage everyone to checkout the visitors center and while there grab " THE LAKE VIEW ROCKS" and take some selfies
