Geocache Description:

Everything’s Bigger in Texas

Welcome to the Northern set of geocaches on the Texas Adventure Cacher Insane Trail (TACIT). If you know anything about the South series placed by opti21, this is going to be tough. Especially in the summer months. Honestly though, it’s all a mind game. Are you willing to persevere through difficult caches, long days and possible injuries?

Things to remember for this series:

  1. Caches loaded in a GPSr or off-line list on your phone. Cell coverage is spotty at best on this trail, especially the further south you go away from DFW. Have all the needed information loaded on multiple devices and bring extra batteries.
  2. Bring LOTS of water and food (or snacks). There aren’t really many places on the trail to stop and get necessary. There are gas stations along both major highways to the East and the West of the series. Know where you are always if you need to bail out.
  3. Parts of the road, especially in the South along the TACIT series are not easily practicable with 2WD vehicles after heavy rains. Be careful.
  4. The terrain is beefed up for the trek out here, and in this set, you will need still a vast array of TOTTs, better than normal geowits, a monkey, and most likely many very long days. Expect to bouncing GPS readings as well.
  5. No hints are provided for this series as none were for the Southern section. If you do need help, please contact me through Geocaching Messenger or text me @ 4697031650. Please introduce yourself if I don’t already have your number and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as possible. The D/T ratings will be reflective of the cache placement style and serves as a possible hint for where the cache may be. Don’t be afraid to log a DNF.

Good luck!
