Min syster har länge velat att vi skulle placera en cache här vid Askims-ridhus just för att hon älskar hästar. Vi hjälptes åt att göra cachen. När du har hittat cachen och signerat loggboken kan du även passa på att titta på det fina ängarna eller ta dig en titt på hästarna. Om hästarna är inne i spiltorna så kan du försöka ta kontakt med någon ansvarig om du vill ta dig en titt.
Burken är en matlåda som är lite uppiffad av hästkaraktär. Om du träffar hästar när du letar så är det viktigt att inte skrämma hästarna för både dig själv och hästens skull. Burken innehåller från början loggbok, pennor, ett suddigummi, två TB-loggar och lite bytessaker.
Askims fältrittklubb-historia
Askims fältrittklubbs hästgård har anor ända tillbaka till 1800-talet. Den nuvarande ägaren till gården heter Birgitta Gunér och är den sjätte generationen som driver gården. Det tidigare namnet på gården har varit “Backa gård” och Birgittas farfars far Carl har b.l.a gett upphov till namnet på gatan “Carl Gunérs backe”. Vid denna tid ända fram tills 1960-talet var Askim en egen kommun, och stadsdelen var rena landet bebyggd endast med enstaka sommarstugor. År 1969 grundade Birgittas far Helge Gunér fältrittklubben som växte och blev mycket framgångsrik. Under samma tid finansierade Helge i samarbete med Askim Sockens utmarksskiftes lag en av de viktigaste vägarna i dåtidens Askim för att avlasta ridvägarna.
Genom åren har fältrittklubben gjort allt från att lära unga tjejer att rida i sin ridskola till att anordna rid-SM på sina marker. Klubben drivs i privat regi och håller en hög säkerhet och standard. Idag innehar klubben omkring 20 ridskolehästar och utöver det inhyser stallen ett flertal privathästar.
Gårdsområdet där ridklubben ligger utgör en värdefull kulturmiljö med rester av odlingslandskap och flera fornlämningar som är lagskyddade. Miljön har en stor historisk betydelse för hela Askim.
Trots allt detta är hästgården mycket hotad av nybyggnationer och står inför att rivas inom en ganska snar närtid. Detta är mest därför att klubbens ridvägar har blivit helt avskurna av de tilltagande byggnationerna i Askim. Klubben hoppas att kunna flytta verksamheten några kimoleter österut till Balltorp i Mölndal inom ett par framåt i tiden.
My sister has for a long time wanted us to launch a cache here at Askims riding-stable because she loves horses. We did the cache together. When you have found the cache and signed the logbook you can also take the opportunity to have a view at the nice meadows or the horses. If the horses are inside the stables you can try to make contact with the responsible person if you want to have a look.
The box is a lunch box which is a little smartened up of horse characters. If you encounter the horses when you are looking it is important not to frighten the horses both for yourself and the horse. From the beginning the box contains a logbook, pens, an eraser, two TB-logs and some trade stuff.
Askim’s field riding club has ancestry even back to the 19th century. The present owner Birgitta Gunér is the 6th generation to operate the farm. The farm earlier was called the Backa-farm and Birgitta’s father's grandfather Carl have inter alia given his name to the street “Carl Gunérs backe”. At this time and all the time until the 1960s, Askim was an independent municipality (landsortskommun), and the district was characterized by a rural appearance, only consisting of farms and summer cottages. In 1969 Birgitta’s father Helge Gunér founded the field riding club which grew and became more and more successful. During the same era Helge financed one of the most important roads in Askim in cooperation with parish representatives in accordande with an old law “Askim Sockens utmarksskiftes lag”.
During the years the horse-riding club has had experience with practically everything in riding, from learning young girls to ride to organizing the Swedish championship in horse-riding. The club operated in private management and keeps a high security and standard. Today the club holds around 20 riding-school horses and beyond that some privately owned horses.
The courtyard area constitutes a valuable cultural remain from the agricultural landscape and also some antiquities. The environment has great historical significance for the whole of Askim.
Despite all this the horse-farm is very threatened by present construction works and endangers being riven in the near future. This is because of that the club’s riding trails have been cut off by the mentioned new constructions. The club hopes to resettle their activity a couple of kilometers eastward into Balltorp, situated in Mölndal, a couple years ahead.
