Geocache Description:

ENG:The horse island is located in Sala parish, in the Babīte municipality, in the river Lielupe, between Sloka and Gātciems.  This island has no extensive history, but it is known that during the last quarter of the 18th century, at the time of the Ernst Johann von Biron, the horses of the island estate were grazed here. Here you can see Sloka from a different point of view, as well as this island's wild nature. smiley I also wanted to bring you here to see this island, because who knows, maybe this is the only reason to visit this place? wink
