ELLHNIKA
Οπου και να πήγα στην Ελλάδα, υπήρχε πάντα ένα εκκλησάκι σε ύψομα αφιερομένο στον Προφήτη Ηλία. Διαβάζοντας έμαθα διάφορες εκδοχ΄ές. Εμένα μου άρεσε η παρακάτω:
Ο Ηλίας ήταν ναύτης και η θάλασσα προσπάθησε πολλές φορές να τον πν΄ήξει. Αυτός βαρέθηκε και ήθελε να πάει πολύ μακρία από την θάλασσα. Πήρε μαζί του ένα κουπί και ρωτούσε τους ανθρόπους που συνάντησε στο δρόμο του, τι έιναι. ¨Οταν απ΄αντούσαν «ένα κουπί» συνέχισε το ταξίδι του. Μετά από καιρό έφτασε σε ένα ψηλό βουνό και ρωτήσε έναν τσοπάνο. Ο τσοπάνος εξέτασε το κουπί καλά και τελικά είπε «ξύλο είναι». Ο Ηλίας γαμογέλασε ευχαριτσημένος και έμεινε από τότε στα βουνά.
Μιά άλλη ιστορία είναι ΄ό,τι τα θαύματα που έκανε ο Προφήτης Ηλίας συνδέονται με την ρύθμηση του καιρού. Λένε ό,τι Ο Προφήτης Ηλίας κατέβασε τρεις φορές η φωτιά από τον ουρανό και σταμάτησε τη βροχεί για τρισήμιση χρόνια. ¨Ολα αυτά γίνονται πιο εύκολα αν είσαι σε ένα βουνό και πιο κοντά στον ουρα΄νο.
Στην παλαιά διαθήκη αναγράφετε ό,τι ο Προφήτης Ηλίας βρήκε καταφύγιο από την Ιεζάβελ στον βουνό Χωρήβ. Και γι'αυτό είναι μία εξήγηση γιατί τα εκκλησάκια του Προφήτη Ηλία «καταφεύγουν» πάντνα στα βουνά.
¨Όταν ψάχνετε τον θησαυρό να προσέξετε. Είναι μετά τη σημάια και πρέπει να κατεβείτε λίγο κάτω.
ENGLISH
Everywhere I have been in Greece there was a small church on high ground dedicated to the Prophet Elijah. Several stories can eplain that, but the following I liked most.
Elijah was a sailor and the sea has tried to drown him many times. He was fed up with the see and wanted to live far away . He took a paddle with him and he hasked everyone on his way what it is. If they answered "it's a paddle" he kept on going. After a while he reached a high mountain where he met a shepherd and asked him. The shephard examined the paddle very close and finally he said "it's a piece of wood". Elijah smiled with satisfaction and from then on he lived close to the people in the mountains.
Another story says that Elijah's miracles are connected to his power to influence the weather. It is said that Prophete Elijah took three times fire from the sky and he stopped the rain for three and a half years. All that is much easier when you live in the mountains close to the sky.
In the Old Testament it says that Prophete Elijah found refuge on the mount Horeb when he escaped from Jezebel. Maybe that's why the small churches of Elijah always find "refuge" in the greek mountains.
Take care when you look for the cache. You have to pass the flag and go down a little.
