The cache was placed for the 2018 WGA Fall Picnic.
Welcome to the Merrimac Preserve Trails (MPT) series of caches which encompasses "Carbon Cycle and Habitat Diversity," "Eagle Scout Nature", "Ice Age", and "Oak Savannah" Trails. You must find all the caches in the MPT series to collect the corrected coordinates for this final (MPT FINAL-GC7XHP8) Some of the caches you will have to answer questions that correspond to a letter and number for the puzzle. There is NO PHYSICAL NUMBER INSIDE ANY OF THE CACHES and NOT ALL CACHES HAVE QUESTIONS

I would suggest starting this series in numerical order but by no way is this the only way to complete this series. Most of these trails are grass covered and adequately mowed without alot of steps inclines or declines. Some of the tall prairie grass will be above your heavy in some places and there are plenty of informational signs along the way.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Devils Lake Office of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. And also Town of Merrimac board member Steve Peetz
