This is apparently one of a line of 21 surviving milestones along the former Norwich to Thetford turnpike, created in its entirety in 1766 and lasting until 1870. More details on this milestone can be found on the Norfolk Heritage Explorer. If possible I will try and place caches near as many of these milestones as possible, although as I know a few are beside the main A11 I may have to get inventive to make the caches accessible!
You will need stealth when retrieving as this is a popular dog walking area. You will also need to watch where you step for the same reason (I found out the hard way!).
