The Guysborough County section of the Great Trail (TCT) is still under construction in sections. It is a multi-use trail. The original railway construction took place in 1930-32, however the rails were never laid in Guysborough County because the NS government cancelled the project. For almost 80 years this section has been abandoned. Sections of the trail from Guysborough town to Aspen have been developed by volunteers of the Guysborough County Trails Association and the Broadhorns and St. Mary's ATV clubs and others. Hopefully this section will be developed soon so the Guysborough and Pictou County sections can be linked. Many creatures inhabit the forests along the trail. At this location you seek a mythical creature! Over hill, over dale, Thorough bush, thorough brier, Over park, over pale, Thorough flood, thorough fire!
