This is a small sized island along the entrance of the Kalihi Channel with a lot of Kiawe trees, coral rocks, trash and sometimes homeless campers.
Canoe clubs who practice in this area know this location as the "Triangle". You can paddle going clockwise or counter clockwise. It is about 3 to 4 miles around. You can have a downwind, upwind or crosswind run on either legs of the the triangle depending on which way the wind is blowing. Along the way you pass a few neat points of interest.
Tabi's, reefwalkers or other types of shoes are recommended when at GZ's as there are thorns and sharp rocks and debris.
Be sure to carry some drinking water and check the tides and winds before going out.
Know your limitations.
