This is apparently one of a line of 21 surviving milestones along the former Norwich to Thetford turnpike, created in its entirety in 1766 and lasting until 1870. More details on this milestone can be found on the Norfolk Heritage Explorer. If possible I will try and place caches near as many of these milestones as possible, although as I know a few are beside the main A11 I may have to get inventive to make the caches accessible!

You may also need to be tall or bring something to stand on...once you've found it. Please put back where it came from so it's not muggled (and so that I've got half a chance of finding it again for maintenance!!).
