It’s a pleasant walk to Tamar Island via a well maintained timber boardwalk. The area is suitable for visitors of all ages and abilities and there is plenty to see and do on the way. Distance to the cache is around 4km return, and a couple of hours allows time for exploration and relaxation.
The area abounds with bird and animal life. Birds commonly seen include: black swans, cormorants, teals, shelducks, egrets, and purple swamphens. You may also see dragonflies, green and gold frogs, skinks and maybe even a snake.
As for the cache.. you’ll know it when you see it, and if you don’t see it you won’t find it..
