Mink Meadow Park is a nice open space park which is great for a picnic or just to fish in the pond. It's one of the lesser known and utilized parks in the neighborhood, so I'm hoping this cache raises awareness of its beauty. The cache was named by my 6yo son, because he thought the container and spot was "fabulous", haha.
The cache in particular is in the wooded area used during the annual neighborhood camp out, just off the meandering path near where they typically have a campfire. Enjoy the beauty of a Virginia woodland while hunting this one down. The coordinates are averaged due to my hardware GPS dying, but it seemed on point. The park is open dawn to dusk, so this is not a night cache (if I hear reports of it, the cache will be removed). There is possible poison ivy and ticks, so as usual be prepared. I didn't have issues with either during the initial placement, but nature is nature.
Note: I went back to check on the cache, and there was lots of trash from someone. I'll pick it up in a couple of weeks since I didn't have a trash bag on me, but if you wish to help out please do! There's a trash can at the park entrance.
