When the going gets tough, the tough leave a geocache.
I was a volunteer Ham Radio operator at this, "Gate 34" for the Silver State Classic Car race. My assignment was to camp out at this temporary repeater site to guard and operate the repeater.
I set up a new tent in strong steady wind at the GZ. Then a gust hit, snapped a main pole and Plan B was in effect: Sleep in the car. The tent was not up to the task and my camping experience was compromised because I was illy equipped. Regardless, I had a good time.
This cache is a tribute to the SSCC and to being better equipped in the future.
