The 1st of October is Tokyo Citizen’s Day.
On this day in 1898, the State of Tokyo was established.
We, the members of geocaching groups in Tokyo, celebrate this occasion by hiding this cache, along with many other caches, all over our city.
Many city-run parks, museums, zoos, and other attractions will be free on this day.
Nobidome waterworks is a canal channel of about 24 Km in length from Tachikawa city starting , throught Heirin temple in Niiza city , to Shingashi river in Shiki city Saitama prefecture.
It was called Nobidome waterworks because the irrigation canal passed through Nobidome in Niiza city.
It is a drainage canal opened at Shouou 4th year (1655) by Matsudaira Izunokami Nobutsuna who is Rouju (key person of the Edo shogunate).
Nobidome Waterworks is also called "Izudonobori".
The bridge where Nobidome waterworks and Shin Ome road intersect is Hagiyama cho 5-chome intersection.
From the intersection point, the water for ignition will be open dock and show the clear flow.
I placed cache near the pedestrian overpass at the intersection.

このキャッシュは、2018年10月1日の都民の日のお祝いのためのキャッシュです。
120年前の今日、前身である東京府が誕生しました。
10月1日には、都の公園や博物館、動物園などが無料になります。
野火止用水は、立川市を起点とし埼玉県新座市の平林寺を経て埼玉県志木市の新河岸川に至る全長約２４Ｋｍの用水路です。
現在では「野火止」と書きますが、開削当初は野火留村(現在の新座市野火止)の名を取り、野火留用水と呼ばれていました。
開削の歴史は古く、承応4年(1655年）、徳川幕府老中の松平伊豆守信綱によって開削された用水路です。
「伊豆殿掘」とも呼ばれています。
野火止用水と、新青梅街道が交差する橋が萩山町五丁目交差点です。
この交差点から先は、野火止用水は開渠となりその清流を見せてくれます。
私は交差点にかかる歩道橋の近くにキャッシュを設置しました。
