Tanashi waterworks is a canal for flowing water for Shinbori flowing in parallel with Tamagawa waterworks to Tanashi no Hashiba and Tanashi Shrine.
Tanashi waterworks is divided into the north and south of the Ome road near the Hashiba intersection of Tanashi.
Buildings line up along the Ome road and flow behind it.
Currently the irrigation canal is a promenade.
The north side of the Ome road is called "Yasuragi no Komichi".
This road was made as the 20th anniversary project of the former Tanashi City municipal enforcement.
In the early Meiji period, the condition of the canal in Nishitokyo city is "Chiso kaisei ezu" (June, 1888), you can check the situation at the time.

田無用水は、玉川上水に並行して流れている新堀用水の水を田無の橋場、そして田無神社のほうに流すための用水路です。
田無用水は田無の橋場交差点付近で青梅街道の南北に分かれます。
青梅街道に沿って建物が並びその後ろ側を流れます。
現在は用水路跡は遊歩道となっています。
青梅街道の北側は「やすらぎのこみち」という名前です。この道は旧田無市の市制施行２０周年事業として作られました。
明治初期の西東京市の用水路の状況は地租改正絵図（明治8年6月）を見ると、当時の状況が確認することができます。
