Geocache Description:

The new suburbs of the Molonglo valley are home to some fantastic outdoor public spaces and neighbourhood parks.  The streets of the suburb of Wright are named after environmentalists, poets and butterflies.  Here inbetween Tishler and Catalano streets is a lovely example of urban planning, incorporating shaded seating areas, landscaping, native plantings and a children's playground, home to an awesome slide.

Joseph Tishler (1871 - 1956) was dubbed 'Australia's worst poet', however he was one of The Bulletin's most prolific contributors with close to 300 poems published.  Widely known as 'Bellerive', his poems were published for their distinctiveness and the affection the readers had for this 'Poet Laureate of the Perpetually Rejected'.

Gary Catalano (1947 - 2002) was a literary and art critic as well as a poet. His first poetry collection, Rembering the Rural Life was published 1978.  His portrait hangs in the National Portrait Gallery.
