V. SCAPA short story : The cursed husband - L'époux maudit - Der vermaledeite Ehemann :
The legend of the cursed husband and his lost love : Longtime ago lived a handsome man, who once lost his way on the hunt and in the evening arrived in a deep, narrow, wildly mixed valley. Sounds of a wonderful song struck his astonished ear. But much less known (I belong to the few ones aware of) is the part of the legend dealing with the curse that befell him many generations later. Comparable, as Lady Godiva once had to ride naked through the streets, he has nowadays also to ride daily through the streets, but not naked. Early in the morning you can watch him where he starts his run. What is this "place" called/named (name: a 7-letter-word)?
La légende de l'époux maudit et de son amour perdu : Il y a très longtemps, un bel homme a vécu et un jour, il s’est égaré à la chasse et arriva le soir dans une vallée étroite, profonde et très mélangée. Les sons d'une chanson merveilleuse frappèrent son oreille étonnée. Après avoir écouté la chanson pendant un moment, il se dépêcha d'aller à l'endroit d'où les sons résonnaient et vit une jeune fille assise là, d'une beauté surnaturelle, il était comme ligoté. Cependant, un jour, méfiance suscita dans son âme envers elle et il rompit son serment ... et elle disparut pour toujours ... Vous connaissez certainement cette partie de cette légende locale.
Certainement moins connu (je fais partie du petit nombre d'initiés) est la partie qui traite de la malédiction qui lui est arrivée plusieurs générations plus tard. Comparable à Lady Godiva qui a dû parcourir nue les rues, lui aussi doit désormais courir les rues, pas nu, mais chaque jour. Tôt le matin, vous pouvez l'observer quand il se met à courir. Comment nomme-t-on "ce lieu/cet endroit" (nom à 7 lettres)?

Doch weitaus weniger bekannt (ich gehöre bis dato zu den wenigen Eingeweihten) ist Euch bestimmt der Sachverhalt, der behandelt den Fluch, der ihn viele Generationen später ereilte. Vergleichbar, wie einst Lady Godiva, die nackt durch die Strassen reiten musste, so muss auch er fortan täglich durch die Strassen reiten, allerdings nicht nackt.
