Benvenuti nelle coline romangnole!
Il Marecchia è l'antico Ariminus che diede (o ricevette) il nome alla vicina città di Rimini. Nasce nel comune di Badia Tedalda in Toscana dall'Alpe della Luna (Monte Zucca 1.263), sull'Appennino tosco-romagnolo. Il suo corso di 70 km si sviluppa quasi interamente nella regione storica della Romagna lungo la Valmarecchia (che prende il nome dal fiume). Con letto ampio e ciottoloso il fiume giunge poi presso la città di Rimini dove va a sfociare nel Mar Adriatico.
La cache si trova in un punto in cui il fiume marecchia scorre tranquillo e lontano da piste ciclabili e percorsi pedonali (che invece si trovano più a valle), dove enormi rocce di un bianco candido ne rallentano il corso (aiutate dalla diga a poche centinaia di metri) e lo rendono un luogo silenzioso ed immerso nella natura, seppur si trovi appena sotto la strada provinciale.
Potete fare un picnic, un bagno, pescare (se avete la licenza) o semplicemente rilassarvi sulla grande roccia al centro del fiume, sulla quale ho schiacciato svariati pisolini.
ATTENZIONE: le coordinate potrebbero essere leggermente imprecise (il gps non funziona benissimo), non fare la stradina che parte dal parcheggio verso la diga, ma scendere subito dal parcheggio in un piccolo sentiero e AIUTARSI CON LA FOTO SPOILER. Fare attenzione alle bisce durante l'estate!

Welcome to Romagna's hills!
The Marecchia river is the ancient Ariminus, which named the near city of Rimini. It originate in the town of Badia Tedalda, in Tuscany, from the Moon Alp ("Alpe della Luna), on the Appennino tosco-romagnolo. It is 70km long and develops itself interely in the storic Romagna region, along the Valmarecchia (the lowland created by the river). It ends is journey in Rimini, where it flows into the Adriatic Sea.
The cahce is in a spot along the river where it flows gently and far away from cycle or pedestrian routes (which are located on the edge of the river closer to the sea), where huge white rocks slow down its flow (helped by the close dam) e make this place quiet and surrounded by nature, even if the provicial road is very close.
You could have a picnic, a bath in the river, fish (if you have the licence!) o just relax on the big rock in the middle of the river, where i took several naps.
WARNING: the coordinate might not be accurate (the gps does not work very good there), don't go from the parking towards the dam but go down in a very little path directly form the parking to the river and take a look at the spoiler pic. Pay attention to snakes during the summer!
